Jack, Vince, and others, I received this fax from Baylor University, following a call from head of their piano faculty. They are hoping to hire a new technician. Here's the copy faxed to me: POSITION AVAILABLE Baylor University School of Music Experienced tuner-technician to service the more than two hundred twenty pianos on the Baylor University campus. Duties: 1. Tune, repair, regulate, and voice concert instruments in the performance halls. 2. Tune, repair, regulate, and voice pianos in the rehearsal facilities. 3. Tune, repair, regulate, and voice pianos in the applied faculty studios. 4. Tune and service the practice room pianos. In addition, the candidate must: Assume independent responsibility in carrying out the tuning and servicing of the piano inventory. Own his/her own tools. Supervise all moving of instruments on campus. Be available to work evening concerts and special events on weekends.
