I just purchased a Sony "Cyber-shot" with 12.1 Mega Pixels for under $200. 
 Actually one of our computer gurus in the fine arts dept found it for me.

I'll second the recommendation for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3. I got mine
last month from www.beachcamera.com priced at $248.90 plus shipping came 
to
$252.88. Great camera for the price.
