After a year what they need is to be pulled sharp 442 or perhaps higher, Kawai's have a nasty habit of the strings pulling around the hitch pin, DAMHIK and it's a good idea to keep that in mind when doing a pitch raise on them. Once they are stabilized they hold pitch rather well, at least their predecessor UST 5-6-7-8 all did, my understanding is the scaling has been changed, I have yet to do a UST9. When you approach the powers that be at the college I would suggest taking reprints of the Kawai suggested 3 or 4 times to be tuned in the first year. If you can't find it on their website, it's on PTG's. Good Luck, Mike -- I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
