They are called "binder clips."

Small or mini.

There is a slight variation in size between different makers, so you may 
want to bring a sample shank to the store for testing.

Can someone please remind me the generic source for shank clips? I believe 
it is an office supply product.

I have a client not quite ready to spring for new hammers, but needing a bit

more upweight (hammers filed once too often) to make things work nicely.
