I agree. It's really a matter of case design. In addition to the 
awkward all-in-one top door/fallboard (I would consider attaching 
something to the inside of that top door so there's something to grab 
onto when lifting) the bottom door is wider than the front legs, 
making it cumbersome to remove. Having the wide bottom door 
eliminated the need for two case pieces (look at a U1 to see what I 
mean) and is clearly a cost cutting measure at the expense of ease of 
service. Yamaha has always been so intelligent about this sort of 
thing it's particularly disappointing to see them go this route.
