[CAUT] Sciortino Insta-Coiler

Hi Jeannie,

Yes, that¹s the one. I¹ve had mine for 15 years or so. It has been acting up
lately, winding the coil on TOP rather than underneath the beckett. There is
a lot of ³play² or wiggle as it sits on the pin, too. I think the inner core
piece must be compromised in some way. I have a colleague who purchased one
from Schaff (which had some problems another story) and purchased a new
redesigned inner core from somebody else (who?). But I think it was the last
one. His works great! The inner core fits all the way down on the tuning pin
close to the beckett and is reinforced. Anyway, I guess I¹ll keep my fingers
crossed or just change my methods and start stringing by hand!

Take care,
Jeff
