Hi Dennis. That sounds quite reasonable to be sure. I suppose there are many who would take a similar view. My point tho, that whatever view you take, however this kind of thing is handled, there will no doubt be notable difference of opinion. For that matter, the same applies to pianotechs signing off a kind og service log on the keys inside the instrument... or any other permanent marking. Personally, I dont really like signatures and would opt for some kind of attached guest book. But then there you go. Different strokes. Cheers RicB I always presumed this practice was an honor to be asked. At least that is how it goes here. It's something the piano faculty decide to request as a meaningful gesture of gratiude to a particular guest artist of their choosing. Not the other way round. In any case, I wouldn't be included in the discussion. That's a call for the piano faculty. dennis.
