Ever since I moved to Hawaii, a number of people have asked me when I was going to put on a seminar. Although I’ve toyed with the idea, and it would be neat to have one here, before I pursue this, I want to find out how many of you are actually interested in coming here if a seminar was offered. This is what I have in mind. The seminar would be next January, and would last a week. (Arrive on Sunday, and go home on Saturday). Classes, which have not yet been determined, would only be in the morning, so that everyone can enjoy the island in the afternoon and evening. There will be some planned activities, but most of the afternoons and evenings will be free. There will not be an exhibit hall and if you want to be an instructor, sorry, you will have to pay your own way. Registration for the seminar would in the $100 - $150 range, but meals, banquets, trips, tours etc., will be offered ala cart. Room rates at most hotels are $125 - $150 per night. The good news is, because classes will be offered, the whole trip will be all be tax deductible. It actually got down to 55 degrees this morning, but weekend forecast calls for sunny skies, with temperatures in the mid 80’s, and 40 foot waves on the north shore.
