Yes it can...  and it might help a bit in the situation at hand, as 
might the Wapin suggestion.  Tho we are probably dealing with a SB issue 
in the end, this and a couple other first stab suggestions might be 
things to try first to see if one can accomplish enough at a relatively 
low cost to do the deed.
