The ''ante room'' is large enough to accommodate the 4 Concert grands two h'schords the ''prepared piano'' and begrudgingly ,occasionally a marimba or the portatif organ, depending on what the rehearsal schedule is like in the Concert Hall for the various ensembles. The downside to the room is that it is not soundproofed, hence the early morning reserved tuning schedule . As soon as the CH is scheduled for the day, we have to stop tuning. Nobody else in the University has snagged this ante room over the years, there is some sound leakage from the Green Line 'B' train on its way out to Boston College on one side and the Amtrak line close by, for those familiar with our fair city. Apart from that it's ideal! ________________________________ From: David Ilvedson <ilvey at sbcglobal.net> To: caut at ptg.org Sent: Thu, December 3, 2009 10:40:05 PM Subject: Re: [CAUT] practicing on concert instruments How big is the ante room?
