Here is the latest (April 29th) from Shirley concerning John's condition. Terry Lambert [Secretary, Eugene OR PTG chapter] ------------------------------------------------------------ John's condition has been upgraded to Serious but Stable, and the idiot who hit him is now also charged with a felony assault. Paul (John's brother) talked to the ICU nurse this morning and was told the following: John came out of yesterday's all-day surgery OK. The breathing tube was removed earlier this morning. He is alert and talking but dopey and depressed--which is expected at this stage of things. No time set for him to leave ICU. He will have surgery on his arm tomorrow. Yesterday's was leg and pelvis. No phone calls yet and no room number.
