Jeff..

Just go to your CAUT subscription administration page and set your 
variables such that you do not receive posts in the form of email.  Read 
posts from the archives instead, you can easily reply to any given post 
from there.

I personally don't see why with the amounts of posts on the lists these 
days why that is not the default condition upon subscribing.
