[CAUT] install bridge pins?

When I was using solid maple caps, I found I could drive the 
pins in with no prior treatment, and CA the base of the pins 
after installation, to good effect. CA down in the hole isn't 
of any particular benefit. The most important stuff happens 
right at the surface of the cap.
