Hi, David - The Conover will probably be a good solid piano of quite conventional construction. At Michigan State - 40 years ago! - we had a Conover concert grand in one of the practice rooms. (Perhaps it's still there.) It was a real favorite among the piano majors, although it was utterly overwhelming for its small room. That's the only 9-footer I've ever seen.
