	Nick Gravagne used to swear by a dilute solution of Snuggle fabric  
softener and alcohol. Not sure why he preferred Snuggle - probably it  
was what was in his laundry room and it worked. Or maybe he liked its  
perfume best <G>. And then there is the vodka/bourbon crowd. In either  
case, I suspect the first thing that is happening is a degree of "un- 
felting." Conditioners vary a lot - some act mostly in an  
electrostatic way, but there are a lot of variants.
	I prefer "voice grip" techniques myself for this application  
(shoulders), along with #10 or #12 needles in the crown. I find it  
more predictable and controllable.
