Hi Kent

The middle of these three was clearly the best on my speakers. Full
sound and a sense of stereo that the other two lacked. The first one
seemed to cut the sustain, especially noticeable in the high notes in
the end. On the second recording that same sustain almost seemed
overstated. Nice when one first hears it... surprisingly enough tho (to
me at any rate) I've heard many a comment from folks who've played
Phoenix and Stuart and Sons that say that after a while this kind of
long lasting sustain way up there is not a desirable. The third take
sound overly fat and swallowed up.

If I had to guess I'd say this is one of Nossamans pianos, or perhaps a
nicely prepped Petrof 210. Very clean and very nicely tuned in any
case. Perhaps a bit of a register shift in the top octave or so towards
the bright side compared to the lower regions of the piano.

Personally, I liked the piano as it sounded in the middle recording.

Grin... so whats the skinny ?

Cheers
RicB

Anyone care to listen to 3 Flights of the Bumblebee, and say what you
    think of each?
