[CAUT] shelf life?

Hi List,

Does laquer have a "shelf life"?  I know that shellac loses its ummph 
after some time, but don't know about laquer.  I have several cans of the 
stuff that Richard West left for me, but don't know how old they are. 
They're at least 2 years old as I celebrated my 2nd anniversary here at 
UNL last week.   Time flies!!!
