Or maybe it doesn't, I don't have the experience to tell. Doesn't matter much on smaller pianos, though, and that's what I'm going to use it for. It took me maybe as much as an hour to put together (including "design" - I tried a couple different configurations of "spokes", length and angle - and cutting lumber). It is held together with "driver screws" (driven in by a cordless drill with Phillips bit, no pilot hole drilled) which makes it easy to take back apart, change things, whatever.
