From your description, it sounds like Expanding
Action Brackets.

You'll need to order a new set of brackets from
Young Chang, and I don't know what their policy
is any more for what they are willing to pay you
to complete the job. The 3 I've done have taken
the better part of the day for all of them.

If there have been a few hands in there trying
to get the action to work, then you have a real
mess of a regulation facing you when you get the
brackets on.

General Rule Of Thumb:

The fewer the hands that have tried to get the
action to work, the easier the end technicians
job will be. I was the only tech to notice a
problem with one of the 3 jobs that I've
replace, and it still took all day to dial in
the regulation.

YMMV, but I kinda doubt it.
