Hi Barbara... and yer others what responded. I did read the article.. and with interest... especially since I had an idea of my own I put up a couple years back that I'll write a separate post on. All this is nice and dandy... but what about the Resonator itself... ? and what about that smallish 1 by 0.5 peice of sugar pine or spruce that connects the rim to the belly rail ? I'd kinda like some feedback on the original queries as well... tho all this led to some nice stuff mind you. Cheers RicB Hi Ric, Well, you might take a look at the August issue of the Journal and test for weights or riblets on the soundboard. Or have you already tried that out? Remember that big 'ol Seiler grand I was wrassling with a couple years years ago? In October it's going to get at least one weight or riblet in the 6th octave which is wimpy. I tested by clamping my small Vise-Grips on the bridge pins and the sound came right up. Barbara Richmond, RPT near Peoria, Illinois
