If my memory is correct, that has been an option on Renner "after- 
market Steinway-style" wipps for about 10 years. Something in that  
ballpark, at any rate. Never was used as original equipment by  
Steinway, when they did use Renner parts in the 80s. The screw  
adjustment came after Steinway was back to making their own parts,  
I'm almost certain.
