Re: [CAUT] Disinfecting KeysHave you thought on trying the rubber finger coverings, that are used to shuffle paper, or count the wads of money you get from tuning. :-)

  To those who are wondering,
Apparently her finger split open while playing.

I used to have splitting fingers from test blows before we moved to a humidified environment. My solution was like Ron's, except I would cut a finger-wide 2" long piece of soft cloth and place it in a "U" over my finger tip. Then wrap with tape to form a sock which could be reused for many tunings. I had socks for the three middle fingers I use in test blows. I tried cutting finger tips off a stretchy pair of gloves to make socks, but found them useless because the seams caused pain as they were right on the striking surface.
  Thanks to all who responded,
  -Mike

I have been using non alcohol baby wipes. I'm not sure how well it disinfects though. Works really well for cleaning and it gives me a good feeling about avoiding germs but that might not stand up in court.

Blood on the keys!? Probably a colorful story behind that...

      Hello,
A pianist got blood all over the keys on our D. What would be a good
product to sterilize them? Isopropyl alcohol removes black from sharps and
Cory cleaner doesn't say it disinfects.
