I think the differences may most likely be the difference in solids contents of the various makes, but I just didn't want to mess around with concert grand hammers and someone elses formula.... It might be possible to order this lacquer from Wurdack directly and avoid the Steinway tripple mark up .... use your google, and give 'em a buzz....
