[CAUT] Hearing Protection Desirable for Tuning?

I too would say that the deterioration is from both noise and age.  So =
far, however, I haven't found a way to protect myself from the aging =
process so I've chosen to concentrate on the noise.  At this stage I =
really can't tune the top of a piano without hearing protectors.  This =
also gives me some comfort that I could loose 15db of hearing acuity and =
still hear as well as I do now by just removing the plugs.
