[CAUT] Whippen Rail

Another little tidbit pops up with this Petrof. In checking the <<magic 
line>> from balance rail pin to whippen center I find that there is no way 
on this earth I will ever get the capstan/whippen heel on the line at half 
blow. It appears that the whippen rail is just plain to low.

I havent ever fooled around with changing the height of the whippen rail so 
I would appreciate any input/advice any of you care to give.

On the side, I noticed when loosening the whippen rail screws the hammer 
line droped about 3-4 mm... most noticbly in the center range. This without 
the rail itself moving forward or backwards... tho it raised off the action 
brackets a mil or so. Any comments on this would also be appreciated.
