Yes, Wim, "Been there, done that". I think it was also about 20 years ago, and at one of the North Carolina Conferences. Ruth Ann was running the show, and she asked me to come in and help with a master tuning on an SD-10. It was cold outside, and the piano had apparently sat on the truck for a while. It was delievered late in the afternoon - several hours behind schedule. It was really cold when it came in, but Ruth Ann wanted us to get right to work. She was running the show, so that's what we did. She came in a few minutes later, checked it, and yelled, "THE CS ARE FLAT". Sure they were. I knew why, and I told her. We chased that thing for several hours as it slowly warmed up, but it sounded worse than it did when it first come in. About 10 PM I excused myself, and let the others have it. Ruth Ann finished it about 4:30 AM the next day. All that fretting and thrashing around for the first few hours as it warmed up was just wasted effort. Sincerely, Jim Ellis
