We've experienced good success with a double-tank system under a D in the city's concert hall. I should say good success with the staff, they've been great! Although I haven't fit one to this piano, here's an excellent place for a bottom cover. 1.) to isolate the piano from air-flow changes on-stage / off-stage 2.) to make the system invisible to patrons in the first row. (though it's all pretty black under there anyhow) Both the main stage and the apron have convenient AC receptacles hidden throughout. Re: buzzes...I've been meaning to raise this question Has anyone experienced buzzes/rattles from a DC system, other than from the tank-support rods? How about from the vapor shields? I've had two Baldwins where the ribs are so close to the beams that there was some buzz (I bent the rods down). I have wondered however, if it would be good prevention to put some cloth between the rods and tops of beams as prevention? thanks, Mark Cramer BRandon University -----Original Message----- From: caut-bounces@ptg.org [mailto:caut-bounces@ptg.org]On Behalf Of Jeff Tanner Sent: Friday, October 10, 2003 10:48 AM To: College and University Technicians Subject: Re: DC Systems on Concert pianos; was: Steinway 45 upright I've thought about that idea, but the truck would get in the way of rolling the cart under the piano.
