performance piano policies

Interesting that you ask. I am just now trying to get the piano faculty to create a policy on our performance pianos. I know that people who are giving recitals need a little dress rehearsal on the instrument they are going to use. They also need to pick which piano they want. Other than that, I think the performance pianos should be just that, "Performance Pianos". I know that no one wants to do a recital on any of our practice room pianos. If the performance pianos are used like practice room pianos, that's exactly what they will be. Now, whether the keyboard faculty will make the policy this tight remains to be seen.
