  If this is a 'fretted' clavichord (meaning more than one note per course -
or pair - of strings) the tangents will probably have been bent to 'tune'
the interval formed by the two (sometimes three) notes using the same
strings.  This can give an irregular, snaggletoothed appearance, but it's
the only way to fine tune these intervals since they share the same strings.
Once set, these tangents can be left bent indefinitely and will retain the
same tuning relative to one another.  If they are extremely bent, it may be
evidence that the temperament in use is not the one for which the keyboard
was laid out; or it may be evidence that someone didn't understand the
scheme!
