I'll second that, if it rings the bushing may be worn, or the damper
wire in a bad shape.
Possibly the soundboard react with R.H. changes, and a good middle
regulation of the damper will help.

You could try Yamaha felt on this damper , easier to work with.
If the felt is not clean, clean it with sharp scissors (protuberant
fibers, too long wedges.

May be the whole damper rail is too much left and can be moved a bit
and screwed (did the piano seat on it side for a long time ?)
