Thanx folks for your responses so far. I do very much realize that a turnbuckle would look just hideous, but the idea of being able to tighten these is very appealing. Thanx to the fella ( Ted??) for the lengthy e-mail on how he handles things. Some of it sounds like the newer Baldwin system for taking up the slack. :) here's to more discussion!!
