Horace,

Well said.

I had the privilege of working with him again last year. He had just
celebrated his 90th birthday. His age was almost immaterial and certainly
didn't show during his rehearsals or performances. A true artist and a
treasure with whom to work, I felt honored indeed to work that last time
with him.

Optimistic that he and our Symphony were, we were one of the concerts he had
scheduled for 2003.
