In Bob Hohf's series of articles on bridge recapping I read about two methods of clamping the new cap to the bridge body. One method was an elaborate go-bar system. The other was based on modified pony clamps that had 3 pressure screws: two for the sides of the bridge and one screw for the top. Aluminum bars were used against the sides and shaped pieces of wood for cauls on the top.
I read about a single caul that Ron N devised to fit the whole bridge - but I can't find that exact post to see the photo.
What do the experienced recappers suggest for clamping? Also, is West system epoxy or tite-bond preferred?
Thanks for all the help!
Bob Hull

Not often, but once in a while when there is interference, I simply manually
(by eye) adjust the rear row of pins forward or back - generally whichever
requires the least movement - and to the side a tad to maintain the same
offset angle.
