"Good Afternoon: I was asked for a quote on a complete rebuild of a
Kingsbury upright action - stripping it down to the action rails and
replacing with all new parts. It has wooden flanges, so now rail
modifications are needed. I have never actually done a complete teardown
like this, and am wondering what woudl be the approximate number of hours
to estimate for the job.
Thanks for your help.

Patrick,
I would suggest you get my publication: "G" PIANO WORKS, Repair Labor
Guide. You will find all aspects of rebuilding listed. Crunch the numbers
and get the "bottom line".<G> BTW, it is available from Randy Potter. (And,
yes I do get royalties.<G>)
Best Regards,
Joe
