Hi Joe,

I don't know about the rebuild price or the fact that they did do private rebuilding. What I do know, is that they do a great rebuilding job.

I have been buying their rebuilt Yamaha C3's and G3's and reselling them for years. They are holding up very well. The rebuilding factory is in Japan. I have only purchased what they call R&R (refinished and refurbished). They look like new. Plate, soundboard, dampers, keys all look new. They alway replace the strings and tuning pins, but they generally do not replace action parts, The action is regulated and doesn't need much work to refine it. One last point. While the finish looks great, I think they use polyurethane, not polyester, so the finish need a little buffing to get rid of the packing rubs and scratches .

If you want anymore info, email me privately.

Just got this email flyer espousing rebuilding. Jeez, it even said they'd
do a complete rebuild of a grand for $2995.00! Any one know who this is and
if their work is up to snuff or ??? Would love to know. I don't think I
could get a piano delivered to his shop and back for $2995.00!! (see'n's
how the only address is in Illinois!)
Best to all,
Joe
