[pianotech] Graphite paste

Is it the same stuff Steinway (and maybe others) used in the rep 
spring slots before either Emralon or Dag?  What about various 
trapwork pins?  or between leaf spring and sustain trap lever?  If it 
worked in those applications (not the rep levers) for, say, 10 years, 
before failing, would that make it grungingly acceptable?
