Forget the treble as the hammers get in the way. the felt is too thick from how can I describe this, when you are looking at the felt from top to bottom it's too tall so the hammers always h it it . the thickness is also a pain as the dampers will also ring too much. So maybe I'll try this action cloth too. does anyone have a part number for the stuff we shouldorder? To the person who says they take 2 hours. I take tha t long also, sometimes longer on pianos that haven't been tuned in ages. Pianos I service regularrly I can tune faster. I still don't get how someone can tune in 45 minutes and get a good tuning out of it. I've heard that it's hard to get a stable tuning that way ,but thats what I heard.
