[pianotech] wooden click at letoff?...reprise

Jim, This probably is not a solution to the problem you are having, but I want to get this information out to the technicians.

A customer has a 1980's Bosendorfer 6 1/2 foot piano.  After tuning it for about 10 years some bass-tenor notes started clicking on a hard blow.
The bottom line: The hammer shanks were hitting the pinblock.  I had to bevel the edge of the block.
