Not a false beat to be heard...not one! That's similar to my experiences with them too. I don't like the sound a lot, but that's not my call and there are a lot worse out there. Horizontally laminated bridges (as plywood as any pinblock), aren't the awful things techs like to assume, and as long as that bridge is holding the pin tight at the surface, there is no need to bisect the pin hole with the notch for it to sound clean as long as the notch edge isn't in the speaking length. These weren't far off from being nice pianos. Ron N
