Actually there are quite a few of us who don't see the need for a so-called "smart" phone. For myself, all I want is a phone that works reasonably well as a phone! Having said that, you don't need a "smart" phone to take pictures. There are a variety of digital cameras available with capabilities well beyond those of "smart" phones for less than $50. If you want to up your budget to $100 you can get several quite nice cameras and, if you're willing to take a chance on a used or remanufactured camera they get even better. ddf Delwin D Fandrich Piano Design & Fabrication 6939 Foothill Court SW, Olympia, Washington 98512 USA Phone 360.515.0119 - Cell 360.388.6525 del at fandrichpiano.com <mailto:del at fandrichpiano.com> - ddfandrich at gmail.com From: pianotech-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of tnrwim at aol.com Sent: Saturday, September 29, 2012 11:05 AM To: joegarrett at earthlink.net; pianotech at ptg.org Subject: Re: [pianotech] Keep Mehlins Weird Joe, You're overreacting to this. You don't need a digital camera attached to your body. All you need is a smart phone that takes pictures. I think having a picture of what you're trying to describe will go a long way towards letting everyone else see what you're talking about. It's just one more way that technology is helping us become better technicians.
