 Why not buy supply house nickel casters? . I'm not in the shop and haven't
looked in the "Big" catalog for these in a while, but I do remember ordering
them in the past for a Mason. As for the task of replacement , with new
sockets and the wooden inserts around the socket stem if necessary I'm
thinking there would be ample clearance for the caster to rotate without
hitting the leg. Maybe one of those  cardboard round thingees between the
caster and the leg could help with clearance .I'm kinda shooting from the
hip here without sweeing how deep the recess is on the leg so FWIW,  Tom D.
