David LawsonLet's go back to the beginning - Yes they do...  HOW they do it is up to each machine - and most have some sort of user-control to assist/over-ride the machine to suit the individual technician.  The commonly used /piano specific ones all have some way for the machine to take data from the piano to helpcontrol this process.  Is that what you were looking for?Ron Koval
