Hi Marshall, A change in the humidity brought about by the damp chaser unit will affect the tuning, same as a change in the humidity brought about by a change in the humidity. That's why the Damp(p) chaser installation guide suggests tuning the piano a couple or three weeks after installation. I also recently replaced an old disgusting hose with a new one, and realized that the new ones have a larger diameter. I was able to wrestle it in by loosening the collar and also wetting the outside of the hose. When the material was wet it went through the collar a little easier. Still tough though.
