That will show you if the bridge is split, or a tobacco tin full of doubloons is stashed behind the strings there. The next place to look depends on the timing and quality of the sound being made. Grab loose hardware like the fall board guide system and lid snaps. Try to ascertain where the sound is coming from before you start fixing stuff. Another pair of ears is also invaluable for both triangulating noise sources, and troubleshooting method. Ron N
