Phil asked:
"Hi all.

"I encountered one a few weeks ago and saw something I had never seen before
with this model - 6 notes -12 wound on the tenor side of the break...not a
re-manufacture either - factory. F3 started the plain wire. The serial #
started with 50****. How long was this scale in production? For a small
piano it wasn't terrible."

-Phil,
Hmmm? According to my Atlas, that puts it in the 60's. I don't think Yamaha
made GH-1s that early. Suspect something is amiss there with the serial
number. I can say that my redesign was in the late 70's. The configuration
of 6 bichords wound, with 1st plain wire as F33, was it.
Best,
Joe
