Hey Joe Hey thanks good to know you do key work. I've done one piece Ivory and its not that grueling but two piece is not for me to do. Ivorine? My Dad used to do that job all the time when I was a kid. I love the smell of it being trimmed. Dale Erwin R.P.T. Erwin's Piano Restoration Inc. If you like doing this job then one should knock themselves out and whistle a happy tune. But if like me you don't enjoy the gnashing of teeth, consider sending them out. I mean for under $300 an impeccable looking key set can be had from many vendors. Yvonne Ashmore (Grass Valley), Ron Kneale(does work for Yam.) and others etc." Consider me to be the "...and others etc.".<G> Prices on private request.<G> Resonably good turnaround. Quality work, including bushings, balance holes, key buttons and any other necessary repairs. As for the Wagner Safe T Planer, I like to use it between 2500 to 4500. It gets a bit scary after that! Trick is to keep it sharp and squared to the table. The table is a typical one w/an added adjustable fence. Nothing fancy, just gets the job done. OBTW, I do Ivorine, not moulded.<G> PVC-E glued not contact cement. Also, (while I'm into the major Commercial), I do Ivory work, including full sets of two piece medium grade preban.
