A school that I tune for has a mid-1970s Kawai grand that's on its last legs. The tuning pins are too loose to hold a tuning, but somebody at some point in the past has already used CA glue on them. Is there any point in another CA application, or is it a hopeless case at this point? I've already told them there's not a lot I can do for it at this point, but like schools everywhere there's not enough money to spend on extensive repairs or a new piano.
