There isn't better kindling to be had anywhere, and once you have that 
fire started, the iron floor sweepings from grinding off those noisy 
front duplexes are very sparkly thrown into the flames a pinch at a time.

But yes, these are categorically (diaphragmed, compression crowned) the 
least likely boards to still be functional enough to keep.
