Me too, Mike. Lots of years. Kerfing and gluing is a very old method of 
"bending" wood, and still works pretty well after all those hundreds of 
years. Not that I've been doing it for hundreds of years, but someone 
has, and a good old idea stolen is still a good idea.

Well, this particular key is what we're talking about, and there's no 
indication at all that the warp has anything to do with it not working 
whereas it's very obviously front heavy as were a whole lot of others 
I've experienced. Personally, I like to start with the very obvious 
basics first.

Which is probably where I got the idea originally. Point is that it 
directly addresses the most likely real cause of the problem, and it's 
really easy to do (if you don't remove the fallboard and can't get it 
back in <G>).
