That’s the stuff. You buy it in ¼ yd increments which means it’s about 9 inches wide and 48 inches long. You have to cut it to the proper length and width. Use one of those rotary felt cutters and a nice clean, smooth surface to cut. You’ll need a good straight edge as well. Scrape the old stuff off and glue the ecsaine down with PVC-E glue, carefully. Not difficult. Any squeeze out onto the music desk frame, let it dry and then just rub it off. As for the old stuff, I just pulled off what I could by hand and then used a chisel at a shallow angle to get under the old glue and it seems to come right off.
