[pianotech] Black stuff for music desk

That’s the stuff. You buy it in ¼ yd increments which means it’s about 9 inches wide and 48 inches long. You have to cut it to the proper length and width. Use one of those rotary felt cutters and a nice clean, smooth surface to cut. You’ll need a good straight edge as well. Scrape the old stuff off and glue the ecsaine down with PVC-E glue, carefully. Not difficult. Any squeeze out onto the music desk frame, let it dry and then just rub it off.

It's black ecsaine from Pianotek. I've used it several times in the past few months. Works great!

As for the old stuff, I just pulled off what I could by hand and then used a chisel at a shallow angle to get under the old glue and it seems to come right off.

And also, what the best way to get the remaining old stuff off.

Sorry about this question, 'cause I know it's been discussed before. What's the name of the black material for the music desk and who sells it. Schaff, Pianotek or both?
